Hearing Loss Research

Inspired by the cochlear implant I received when I was 3 years old, I started learning more and more about how the inner ear works. During the summer before my junior year I joined a lab that focused on hearing loss and on improving current hearing tests. In this lab I research the interactions between the peripheral auditory system and the central auditory pathway through different hearing loss forms by using non-invasive methods on human clinical populations and animal models.
