ABOUT

My name is Viral Shah, and I was born and raised in New Jersey. Ever since I was 3, I have been amazed by medical devices and how they work. I received a cochlear implant at this time and have relied heavily on it ever since. This inspired me to volunteer at a physical therapy practice and work with people to better understand how machines help people.

I realized that a way to combine my love for medical devices and patient care was by pursuing a bioengineering degree.

Currently, I am majoring in bioengineering and completing a certificate in Innovation Product Design and Entrepreneurship (IPDE) at the University of Pittsburgh.

Outside of college, you can find me playing sports or setting up a dance and A Capella competition, but definitely not dancing or singing in it.
